This is an insanely good deal. XBox cant even come close. The HDMI cable is going to save you $30-$40. And the free online saves you $50 a year! And an AAA game! and a blockbuster HD movie!!!
I am surprised how some people try to make the loss of hardware backwards compatability into a deal breaker. None of the Xbox's have hardware BC, and why do you buy a PS3 to play PS2 games? If you have lots of PS2 games, dont you have a PS2? Its not like the 40GB wont be able to do software emulation. How long do you think you will still be playing these PS2 games?? when you just bought a PS3?
So what PS2 game is causing this to be a deal breaker? Is there a list of games that work via software emulation for BC?
and you can still get 5 free Blu Ray movies with purchase. wow this deal is crazy. do any other retailers have R&C packed in already?
I bought 3 PS3s during launch, sold 2 @ $760 and $795 on ebay. Make that deal come with a white PS3, then you'll have me really regret that I kept my 3rd PS3 at launch.

Online yes your right, but many find xbox live superior
AAA game 360 gets forza, and marvel so that combats spider man.
360s have BC to an extent.
