If Wii owners don't like a game, then its obviously not quality

ROFL that is so bad logic.

So Dumb and Dumber is a better  movie than No Country for Old Men or the English patient with your logic ( seeing how more people went to see it)....

And Twilight is a much better book than any Faulkner........

Saw the english patient, terrible move, saw No country for Old men, was so bored by it, so those aren't really good examples you put out as those were terrible films so overhyped.

All this proves is that people have different opinions on the same thing, but the market is an objective meaure of how well a game is recieved, and how much appeal it has, if a game doesn't sell, then saying that its a good game is just your opinion, and as our differing opinion on the movies shows, that's all it is, opinions.  However we can clearly see that the market received one creation to a far greater degree and it had greater appeal than the other.

those two movies won the oscar.......

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

you did miss my last edit by the way..

How can you claim Wii owners found those games that did not sell to lack quality when they most likely did not play those games...

Last I checked to build an opinion on something you need to try it...

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

lets make a rail shooter instead of a full fledged third person survival horror, lets make a racer without online in the year of 2009. Fuck you EA and your dumb ass shit.

So they won an Oscar, so what? Oscars are opinions, just like reviews.

who is to say they didn't there are kiosks at stores, rentals, etc. that allow people to try out games before they buy, and if they didn't try them, its probably because nothing about the game made them interested in the first place.

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Like i said, this is the classic Nintendo last-ditch defense.

I mean Roger Ebert advice over my kid 5 year old nephew, nothing to distinguish!

Not really, we're back to the fact that Wii fanboys here are not representative of the majority of Wii ownerss. ( how many of you bought Ben10 ?, how many bought Carnival Games ?).

Now pick the best selling HD third party titles and see how many HD fanboys on these forums have purchased them, the percentage is much higher...

The funny thing is that it all comes back to the Blue Ocean strategy you Wii guys keep mentionning. Guess what, you're not it, you were into gaming before the Wii............

I pretty much agree. Except that there are a few good multi-plat titles for Wii. Shaun White is certainly best on Wii, and some really like Wii FPS's despite the often mediocre graphics. Also just because the Blue Ocean is huge doesn't totally mean Ninty has give up. There are plenty of Nintedo games like Mario and Metroid that appeal to most gamers.

But yes generally the average Wii owner is less likely to check the quality of the game before they buy it, but that doesn't mean everybody is- and its more than just the diehard fanboys. Mainstream gamers with an ounce of cred at least follow the classic Nintendo brands even if those are the only titles they ever explore.

@Averyblund, just because you like a game, doesn't mean most people do, heck I only bought one game on your list, a lot of those games don't appeal to most

Well then, what kind of games do you like? I had a lot of genres covered there, but I'm not much of a racing or RPG- so if you are so tell me what your poison is and I bet I could come up with a few.

Also want to mention that just because many casual games don't appeal to us doesn't make them all suck. Sure the one's with broken controls blow no matter what, but liking these games is a matter of taste and expectation. If you want a game where you can mess around with a virtual horse I'm sure My Horsiez or whatever might be a perfect fit. Not everybody wants to play Metroid, COD or Halo. With that said I avoid mini-games like the plague with only a few exceptions (Rabbids, Nintendo stuff mostly).

The games I most recently bought are the MP trilogy, Wii Sports resort, NSMB Wii, Rabbids go home (the one game on your list), enjoyed all of them, but I had no interest in the other games on your list

Yes because you know how to appreciate a good film given your vast experience in films.

^Anyone knows how to appreciate or not appreciate a film, experience is not an issue
