Forums - Microsoft Discussion - X360 Estimate WW for November 14th

What do you think will be the world wide sales for the X360 on November 14th?

In my opinion, I think it will be about 300k-350k World Wide. Reason being that it will probably reach 200k-250k+ In the US alone from the pre-orders of the Modern Warfare 2 bundle.

On a side note, I think the X360 will outsell the PS3 for the coming week.

250-270K WW

200k - 220k.

The 100 dollar gift card was for 1 day in most walmarts on top of sales for HW (especially 1 day sales) are very front loaded. Amazon didm't have the 99 dollar deal either. Also, MW2 was a multiplat game. Ontop of that MW2 is a sequel to a game thats already launched this gen... also, 4 other games of the franchise launched on the 360

nothing suggest that sales will increase on top of the week that recieved a massive sale... best it can hope for imo is to sustain its sales

Wasnt the Wal Mart deal until the 14th?

Don't know. Apparently some stores didn't do it the full week (http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=91839). But even so the effect on HW for a sale or price drop is very front loaded. Walmart supposidly consisted of 90k of that 170k last week. It's not uncommon for HW to drop by half the next week. So 45k drop from Walmarts sales? Maybe more if some Walmarts only did it one day or wouldn't recieve a second shipment. Now add in the sales Amazon wont give for not having the 100 dollar deal that it had for that one day last week... there is no real reason for HW to increase.

I tried to get an extra 360 for my cousin who was wanting to buy one for his daughter. Out of 5 stores in my region all were doing the deal till the 14th and none had any in stock longer than a few hours after delivery. So I would imagine the impact will be pretty large.

Within 25k+ of last weeks in america at the very least.

Delivery was last week though. I don't know how walmart does it but at target we get HW once a week.

I don't see CoD as having too much of an effect on hardware sales, it's multiplat and everyone who likes CoD has no doubt already bought their console of choice.

At a guess, and assuming that the Walmart sale has ended then less than last week

I'd say 200 000 - 220 000

I don't see MW2 moving that much hardware either

Isn't the special MW2 - X360 edition popular? It was quite high on the amazon pre-order rankings.
