Ive been a advid fan of Digimon for long time, ive watch seasons 1-4(havent seen 5, plannin on lookin into it) I think Digimon is a Incredible but undercredited franchise, but no matter how cool thid franchise is..its never really translated into the games. I own all the Digimon World games..yes even the bastard abomination child the was DW4( Im still shocked this was part of the actually DW series and not a spin off..it baffles me)but im gonna ignore that one. DW1-3 all were fun games once you gave them a chance but all had some terrible problems

DW1: My second favorite Digimon game, I loved the adventuring and Raising elements( working towards multiple digivolutions was addicting) but the battle system was just stupid mainly because of the you not manually controlling the Digimon and dumb AI all over the place it it was the weakest element there.

DW2: my least fav...it added a whole lot of Digimon... thats the only good thing it did...it took the adventuring out for boring bland dungeons and decent battles system and a terrible digivolving system(though a piece of it was used in the new digimon)....it wasnt for the amount od Digimon added i would hate this game but i beat and mananged to enjoy it.

DW3!!: My fav Digmon old fav digimon game - digimon world 3 was a huge step from DW1&2...it had a cool graphic style, the adventuring elements returned, it was long..a slight reduction in available digimon and a once again decent-bad battle system..the only thing is u can digivolve in battle(which was cool at the time) and a high incouter rate..but just the look of the game and adventuing parts were great.

now u may be sayin " Xxain..why did you waste time with the recap", well its becauses i felt that in order to understand why the Digimon Dawn/Dusk is so great.

Im a little late..they were released last year, but Digimon fans...these are the BEST digimon game available. They take the best from Digimon World 1-3 and throw them is this great game.

we have the addicting Digimon raisind system which borrows from all 3 installments and combines the into one and there is 400 available digimon for you to get(DW1-3 didnt even have 100) ranging from shows and manga and alternate digimon series that aired in japan, we have the adventuring from DW1&3 and graphic style from 3. we have new battle system which plays like DQ and the enemy sprites are actually animated!!!!( plz add this pokemon) and its actuallly challenging

I used to love Digimon, ill try it out for my Ds.

Here are my problems with the game:

• The battles consist of only about 12 animations for almost every move in the game.
• Raising the scan rate for a monster takes forever.  It's just a hassle.
• The whole Digifarm stuff is annoying.
• A lot of moves are just plain worthless.

I'm a big fan of the series. I've owned and beaten all of the digimon games save for Digimon World 4, but I would have to disagree with you and say that World 3 is the best in the series.

I agree with most of that. 

I like Digimon.  I like the anime more than Pokemon (not as much as Monster Rancher), but they've never done the it justice.  Every new game is a step in the right direction though.  That's a lot more than some series can say at any rate.

By the way, what's your favorite digimon/digivolution tree?
