yea, xbox360 is more popular in America but just wait until Uncharted 2 bundle comes out in America. I am assuming that there is an uncharted 2 bundle for america. I don't know if the ps3 will ever match xbox360 numbers but the gap will close substantially be the end of this year.

Actually looking at it again, I hadn't realised how much of it's advantage was Japan.... it's not hugely above the Wii in "Others" ... just slightly better than in America.
Though in America X360 is closer to the Wii too, so comparitive weekly marketshare it's more like: Powerful Japan, ok Europe (Others) weak Americas.

Japan sure love (smaller) new models of things.

it leveled off in america, it will stay around 80k there, and around 110k in europe, japan around 30 k

Going up with no cut, no significant release recently, and when price cut rumours were abound...

Between the two HD console PS3 will own other and Japan while xbox 360 will dominate America. After two weeks of a price cut the PS3 manage to only out sale the 360 by less then 10k.

Gap in USA is closing again between ps3/360.

Modern warfare 2 is out soon and you know most Americans will reccomend a 360 to their undecided buddys (so they can play online together)

GT 5 not out till march, Forza 3's release date closing in, GTA double pack out soon (lost and damned, gay tony)

Slim was sony's last throw of the dice with the ps3.

I honestly don't see any way back now for sony this gen once the japanese and european sales of ps3 level off after the slim hype dies down.
