There are valid reasons to be disappointed with the PS3.  For example, it not getting a dual core Cell like it was originally intended to get.  There are also the price/backward compat issues, as well as the "doesn't have a good library of games yet" issue.

As far as liking/disliking a company goes, that's marketing at work.  For some people, marketing works great -- they'll see the Sony name and make positive assumptions about the product.   For a few people, the marketing will work so well that it is almost as if that company's products can walk on water or will be able to walk on water in the near future.

The trick is to see a product for what it is.  And as the PS3 is a games machine, see it for its games -- not the promise of games, mind you, but the games now.  In that respect, the PS3 has yet to become a great system.

I don't get why you have a company's PR.

I hear people saying that they hate that Sony said '600$ is cheap' but do you really think Sony would say it is expensive?

I never really hate a companies PR but what they do.
