I live in the centre of Amsterdam, on the canals. It's usually rather quiet out front, though the busiest shopping/pubbing street is nearby. Half of the houses here are inhabitted, mostly by yuppies, pensioners, gays, and western-immigrated employees (French, Americans, etc.) Lots of famous people as well. The other half of the houses are businesses, lawyers, accountants, marketing...

Guerilla Entertainment actually has office diagonally behind my house. I've got pictures as well!

The city and the country are always a quick drive away in the suburbs.

I live in the middle of the woods. Its lame.

I live in the best place in the world. Ahh, well enough of my pride.

My neighbourhood is pretty nice, quiet, and for the most part safe. We've got a few elementary and secondary schools in the area. So very family oriented.

As for diversity, I think my area is the most multi-ethnic area in the country.
