Anyways on Galaxy its a longshot. I doubt it but always a chance.

ever since that happened ive been looking at the top 10 as 15+ review :P

 realistically, i dont think its likely it wil make the 10 because it will be marked harshly in comparison to ps3/xbox graphics etc. im hoping im wrong (id love to see it in the top 10), and that gamespot and 1up give it 95 or 100 but i doubt it.

You're forgetting one thing: Most reviewers, even those biased (unintenionally or not) against the Wii/Nintendo LOVE Mario. Mario is probably one of the few universally loved franchises. As such, if Galaxy is as good as the hype, I'd say it has a solid chance, if any game does, of breaking the top 10.

Let's look at the top 10.

Two GC games, two N64 games, one each for PSX, PS2 (ironically, a port of a GC game), Xbox, X360, DC and PC.

From this breakdown, two things stand out.
1. Nintendo has fared quite well over the years.
2. Older games tended to be higher rated.

So there is a 50-50 chance of SMG making 96%.

It probably won't though because there are more outlets than there used to be and some seem to enjoy giving low scores just for fun. (That may explain why there are two N64 games and a DC game in the top 5 and only one game made in the last several years in the top 10).

exactly, too many reviewers, which give it a lower chance to breach that top 10, and also alot of sites do rate low, for that ability to suddenly get popular



                 With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B
