Forums - Sales Discussion - Ratchet and Clank Future: Crack in Time sales prediction

If you had read my post you'd see what I said about the 700k figure, plus, if I believed this site's numbers, it would be 2.2 million, not 2.9 million. Failed math much?

I'm being as mature as can be, you're being as stubborn as can be. Like I said, whatever makes you sleep better at night

"I'm being as mature as can be, you're being as stubborn as can be. Like I said, whatever makes you sleep better at night" - Mature? does not compute.

You jumped to conclusions, thats your fault not mine. I never said in my post a price cut wouldn't help it. You went off one on, again your fault.

You failing to see my point of view would make you as stubborn as me ... but no I don't think you're stubborn I think thats just the way you see things, which is fine.

You REALLY need to learn people have different opinions than yourself, you're acting as if its offending you in some way.

well, don't mind if I do...

I am thinking about 300,000 opening week and 1.5 - 2 million lifetime. I know that's a huge gap for a prediction but with the economy, you never know.

^^ wow what a biased signature, probably the worst I have seen on this site so far.

I came into give my opinion, thats not trolling.

You're sig is not "facts" its the definition of cherry picking. And even then its false.

Aren't you the guy that kept (spamming) voting out the 2 chicks in "Most attractive users on VGC"
If so, you have problems! Feel sorry for you man!
Next time don't argue with sane people! You're just wasting our time!

BTW my sigs are facts, deal with it...

lol whats that got to do with anything? how was voting in an elimination game spamming?

Your sig isn't fact its cherrypicked.

Whatever, your sig isn't fact its cherrypicked bitterness.

No, you bringing it up just shows your bitterness. If you came in here to offer your opinion, then I believe you've done that, and you can now leave, unless you are going to add something constructive to the thread.

On topic, I'm going to lowball slightly and predict around 1.4 - 1.6 million, only because when R&C:ToD first came out casual games on PS3 were extremely rare which I think added to R&C:ToD's sales. Whereas R&C:CiT is coming into a much more saturated PS3 software scene, so even with the bigger fanbase, it'll sell on par with ToD. I'd like to be wrong and it sell 2 mil, but doubt that'll happen.

Guys, stop piling on Seece, or you're going to deal with me. And though I can't warn or ban anyone, I will bury you in so many paragraphs that you won't know left from right, and up from down. Fila, a price cut won't help casual games because the simple fact is that the PS3 is not a casual system. Albeit casuals are a wide variety of people, but the audience that is casual and loves child friendly games is not present in large numbers on either of the HD consoles. When the 360 got a price drop, which benefited more? Casual games, or hardcore games like Halo? Now, there were some casual games bundled with the 360, but those don't really count. Most of the games that rose in sales from a 360 price drop were Mature rated favorites like Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4.

Now you all settle down.

I'd say it may flop.

what was Insomniac's last game? Resistance 2 I think, a flop compare to Resistance: Fall of Man.

200k first week 800k life time

I'd say around 1.5 M to 1.8 Million. I really like R&C games, but there have been a ton of them, I think the PS3 install base is a little weak for R&C titles vs PS2 (not due to size but demographics).

Therefore while the install base is much larger than when ToD launched, I think competition is stiffer too in terms of other titles.

On the other hand I heard it might have the funky MP back in place from previous PS2 games, so if that takes off it might well sell more - after all I'd like a break from gritty online action for something as zany as R&C online.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
