I never understood why the hell anyone would want a gaming company to fail. Tons of people are afraid of the Wii and want it to fail. Others think the PSP is terrible and want it to fail. Some people even want the Playstation brand to disappear. I cant see the logic behind that.

If all consoles do well that only means more games for us which is always a good thing. Id like all of five consoles to do well because in the end its a good thing for everyone.

Some peopel are just insane and full of hate though and nothing will change that. I like good games no matter what platform theyre on. The desire to want any of the platforms/companies to fail is terrible and I think people should try to change that mentality.

I own a Wii/DS/PS2 and a PSP before it got stolen. I play everything including PS360 because luckily my neighbors owns them so I freeload off of him.

People should really just play games and try something different every now and then. Im not saying its a bad thing to have favorites and hate certain games but to hate entire platforms, dismiss them, and want them to fail is terrible.

This gen, gamers hate everything.

Its called sony fanboys and others, deal with it.

Because we want to not have to buy three consoles to play all the games we like.

It's Schadenfreude, or however the hell that's spelled. The screwups/failure of those you dislike brings you satisfaction, while their success brings irritation. It's foundational to the human psyche, the only difference is whether you express it or not

Hmm. I think its just gotten to the point where nothing is good enough for the majority. They will bitch and moan for everything.

Because some people don't care that thousands lose their jobs, investors get shafted, and many people lose their favorite company so long as they are satisfied in their fanboyism. It's truly pathetic, but it can't be helped.

Because Sony Fanboys are by far the worst.  Don't get me wrong there are some annoying xbox and nintendo fanboys on this site but nothing compare to the stupid crap coming from Sony Fanboys.
