Forums - Gaming Discussion - How come nobody ever talks about the incredible platormer that is N+?

I got this last night for the DS and Im amazed how awesome this simple little platformer is. Im surprised more people dont talk about it since its been released on DS,PSP, XBLA, and started out as flash game.

I dont think it being a flash game is negative thing either. I get to play a version of it on the go on my DS with cool extras, and a ton of levels.
It has a Big Bang Mini and BIT.TRIP.BEAT kind of feel which is definitly a good thing. So far Im in level 15 and it hasnt gotten too hard but with many more levels to go Im sure like it will eventually get brutal like BBM/BTB.

So what are your thoughts on the game? If you want a fun simple platformer with a challenge I say buy N+. Its a great game imo.

Yep, this game is awesome and unappreciated.

Isn't that the game currently on the Xbox Live deal of the week with a 30% discount. I can't say I have ever looked it up and I assumed it was a oldschool style spaceship shooter.

Speaking of Platformers. I was thinking about Microsoft's platformer Blinx: The Time Sweeper which was a cat with a time controlling device (a Vacuum cleaner i think). I was wondering what happened to it and that they should give it a rebirth for this generation.

Put it in the development hands of Rare and it might turn out pretty decent.
Microsoft need a platforming title to compete with Sony's Rachet and Clank which is an awesome series.
I'm guessing they would have more success with a proper platforming Banjo & Kazooie game though which is rumored to be in development anyway.

Edit: I could picture a Banjo & Blinx collaboration game right now with Kazooie always moaning that shes not in the games title.

As far as the actual mechanics of platforming go, N+ is without equal. It puts all other platformers in the history of gaming to shame. Everything about the game is making that perfect jump, getting that perfect momentum, hitting that corner just right, etc. I have it on DS and XBLA and both are simply fantastic.

That game is good but the graphics could really be better.
