Forums - Nintendo Discussion - CONTROL TIPS for Grand Slam Tennis

For those who just baught Grand Slam Tennis and facing some difficulties or already gave up on it coz of the learning curve, here are some control tips which could help a little.

Some Tips:

  • place ur thumb on the A button and ur forefinger on the B button
  • the side of the remote is the face of the tennis racket and not the front of the remote as in wii sports tennis
  • imagine how it would look like if u would hold a real tennis racket that way (side of the remote, is face of racket) and make the swings that can help with the shots
  • after every shot go back to the neutral position, meaning the remote is in front of u, this is mandatory when u dont use the nunchuck, if u do, its still recommended
  • after every point callibrate the remote by pointing at the TV for 2 seconds (or just hold the remote still)
  • u can change the direction of the ball by timing of the swing, the follow through and by the angle of ur handankle while u do the swing
  • u determine the speed of ur ball by the speed of ur swing, this is more apparant when u play volleys

When u do and know those things, u will have a much better control over ur game and it will feel also better and more realistic but it needs some practise and u will have better and worse days, as u would have in real tennis too. Don't give up yet.
