Forums - Gaming Discussion - PSP RPG's

There is only so much information I can gather from a review or youtube video.  I'm trying to see if any PSP RPG's will be worth playing but I just can't decide.  Maybe it's my OCD kicking in, so what do you think?  Besides these games, what should I check out?

Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness

Final Fantasy I

Final Fantasy II

Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core

Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions

Jeanne d'Arc

Star Ocean: First Departure

Star Ocean: Second Evolution

Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology

Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth

Wild Arms XF

Tales of Eternia. One of best jprg:s I have played. Also FF tactics and Crisis core are must have.

Take my love, take my land..

I guess I should let you know that I'm in the US, so as far as I know, tales of Eternia hasn't been released here.

There are quite a few games that have mediocre reviews but from videos seem like they would be fun.  I just wanted to get some other opinions on the matter.  I really have no particular game in mind, just want to see if I'm missing out on something I shouldn't be missing out on.

Pick these games up for cheap if you can. Ignore the low review scores. I had a blast with these games mostly on my PSP.

FootballFan - "GT has never been bigger than Halo. Now do a comparison between the two attach ratios and watch GT get stomped by Halo. Reach will sell 5 million more than GT5. Quote me on it."

This is the only game I'm not too sure about. It was pretty awsome on the GBA but then again who knows. My friend said he liked it a lot.

Hmh Tales of eternia is what 2006 game...

Take my love, take my land..

aside from what you mentioned Brave Story, Gurumin, Tales of Eternia, Phantasy Star Portable(though it's more like action rpg) and Popolocrois. if we're talking about Astonishia Story i really recommend skipping first game and play sequel(Crimson Gem Saga) it's way better in everything.
Ys: The Ark of Napishtim - this is really bad game. non japanese versions are simply broken especially if you are playing UMD version which has horrible loading times. i would rather wait for Ys Chronicles and Ys 7.
also i recommend Mana Khemia, but it have different leveling system so you may be confused a little at first and also it takes a lot of time to really get into this game(tutorial part of this game takes like 4hours)

Wikipedia says yes, but it still isn't in the US, other than as Tales of Destiny II.
