Maybe, if they do real advertisements and not those boring developer interviews.

It would take a plane crash for it to happen. Besides, it would have to destroy Mario first :P
Above I'm a proud Gran Turismo fan, not a Sony fanboy, and now a proud 360 owner, but sharing xbox live accts ATM
End of 2009 Predictions (made Jan 1, 2009): My predictions were pretty accurate, the 360 was over and the Wii was just under.
Wii: 65 mil (yea I'm crazy) 360: 35 mil (its getting there) PS3: 30 mil (the slim better do well)
End of 2010 Predictions (made Jan 7, 2010):
Wii: 81 mil 360: 47 mil PS3: 45 mil
If you drop a few digits then yes, the conduit can match it
*Sigh* Ninty fans shoulda learned from Sony fan's egg on face attempt to claim KZ2 as H killer.
I think people do Halo 3 a disservice by saying it was hype which gave it it's sales. Sure the hype was necessary to achieve good/great week 1 sales, but the hype is not the reason it smashed records. Halo 3 is part of a (sub) cultural phenomenon, that is why it had the best ever opening week for a FPS on a relatively low (at the time) install base. Halo 3 is the seminal Xbox 360 game, the quintessential Xbox franchise, the Microsoft flagship in console gaming. From where does the Conduit get all these major sales boosting factors?
The question is not will the Conduit beat Halo 3, but will it beat Killzone 2?

funniest thread i've read all week
If you win 200 million dollars and use it to buy 3.800.000 copies of the Conduit is possible.
Lol. That's all I'm gonna say.

Will The Conduit beat Halo 3 in every way? = Impossible.
Will The Conduit beat Killzone 2 in every way? = Is not impossible, but it is a little hard.
NO WAY IN HELL!
When a quality FPS style game with the name "Metroid" in it, sells 1.53 (currently) http://vgchartz.com/games/game.php?id=6969®ion=All there is NO WAY the Conduit will even come close to beating Halo 3 opening week.
