Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo thread: What are some good Wii games that are out now?

1. Resident Eviil
2. Zelda
3. Super Paper Mario
4. Sonic
5. SSX Blur

Around the Network

1. Zelda: Twilight Princess (if you have a Wii you should have this too)
2. Metroid Prime 3 (same thing)
3. Super Paper Mario (pretty good)
4. Resident Evil 4 (if you haven't played the previous versions)

If you're looking for minigame collections or party games go with some other stuff, these are traditional games that are worth buying.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

And just because nobody said it and it's actually an underrated game: Sonic and the Secret Rings.

It's exactly what a Sonic game should be: fast and hard. Definitely worth a rent at the very least.

Don't get this game! The basics are an improvement over other 3D sonics, but it's still garbage. You play the same levels over and over again to get a certain amount of rings or kill a certain amount of enemies or some other crap... It's like they didn't want to put the effort into making more levels so they make you repeat the same ones over and over again.

As you play this, your experience gets worse and worse as you go and the good parts get old really quickly when you repeat levels for lame reasons. Totally half assed game with bad music, bad story and some crappy and unnecessary voice acting.

That's my opinion of the game anyway.

I agree with all the ones listed above. Except Trama Centre, SSX Blur and Elebits are not everyone's cup of tea. Best to rent first.

Godfather is definately underappreciated on the Wii.

Tiger Woods is also fun if your into golf, and if you have kids/girlfriend you might consider (cringes in fear of group bashing) Mario Party 8. It's not the best, but non-gamer friends will enjoy playing it with you. Personally I'm with twestern that you should wait for RRR2 for a party game though (or get Rayman RR if it's on sale/used).

Yeah, the story, voice acting, and music were bad but it was like watching a bad B movie. It's one of those things they must have knew it was bad and it just makes it great. As for the gameplay, I had a lot of fun with it. It's not something that will make a whole lot of notice, but it was fun. Like I said, it's at least worth a rent.

I second ckmlb concerning Sonic, rent it if you really want to but it gets old real fast IMO.

If you need people to tell you the games you should buy, you shouldn't be buying the console. But, still, I'll tell you the games you should buy, in order of greatness...

1. Super Paper Mario

Ummmm....

Well define good. You can't just expect us to throw a bunch of games at you like monkeys throwing feces. I'm looking at your profile and none of your favorite games have been on Nintendo consoles, so I don't know what the hell to do.

Ask yourself this question...

Think of at least 5 games for the Wii you could put at least 10 hours of play time into. If you can't do this, don't buy the console. If you can, then I don't see why you need us.

I really enjoyed Sonic Secret Rings. The only time it got repetitive was when I was leveling to 99-duh.

Best 3D Sonic in quite some time. Not everyone's cup of tea, though.

My advice to you is the same advice I'm taking myself. By the best new games now (Metroid Prime 3, RE4, Mario Strikers!) and for some of hte older games, wait for the holiday price drop. I'm banking on Trauma Center, Rayman and Red Steel getting nice cheap prices around black friday, so I can expand my collection with those.

I really enjoyed Elebits. Controls were done well and it was a very different type of game and my girlfriend played it alot. Kinda like katamari, I would have liked it more if the music was more katamaresqe and faster paced.
I completly agree with you on this one Elebits an often forgotten game, but a VERY fun one.  Also I highly recommend drunk games of DBZ Budokai on the Wii.
