I think Halo 3 will push more systems that people believe... Especially given the handful of AAA+ titles coming this fall, I think Halo 3 will be the trigger that makes a whole lotta people finally jump in.

The 360 did 170K in July, so it would need an 85% increase to reach 300K.

According to the data for sales ending August 18th, the 360 saw a 13% increase over the previous week for a total of 59K, and that's with the price drop and Madden. That just goes to show that 1) Madden doesn't move systems, it sells to the userbase(and its sales are actually down from Madden 07 a year ago), and 2) the effect of the price drop wasn't that significant.

200K is doable, maybe even 230K, but 300K is really stretching it.

You honestly think that during Halo month, the 360 will only move 254k and that Halo will only boost sales by 12k the week it releases?
