I actually own 8. =)

To be honest, I bought about 6 of them because I kept misplacing the other, eventually I found the rest though. 1 of them I purchased because I liked the palkia onyx and it was bundled with Arc 2 that came bundled with a music CD. V_V

Though I've gone through more DS's then, I gave three to a friends, but that one had a busted R (darn brothers in arms DS) and the other had a busted L (darn metroid hunters.) the last well, long story.

I'm planning on purchasing two DSi's one for myself and the other for my g/f granted she probably won't like it - but it's a joke anyway.

 I don't think you are average, I don't loss my DS every day, most people I know have 1 or 2 DS total....

i dont think they should count all the ds together then they will never reach a 100 million.btw i helped i bought 2 and so did my sister

so they shouldn't have count all the PS2 models, neither all the PSP's models

the only thing is that is the only concrete number we have. if we tried to estimate every ds owner had two of them, it would be just that, AN ESTIMATE! and since every other console and haldeld is just using total number of hardware sold, it's actually the best way to compare them.

Yeah, and lets improve the Wii's chances of earning that honour too.

it doesnt matter if some people bought two DS, they still purchased it because they saw it advantageous enough to get another one. Usually these are people with many games.
