Gamegear was great, but as you said it was almost as big as a Psone and battery life ... 2 hours max! Crazy for a handheld!

Just as I said before. 20% marketshare in hardware sales at time of it's death de-facto. So Game Gear wasn't that bad, it just died in ~1996 (officially discontinued in 1997) and Game Boy keep going and going and going.
