You may see one of the main guys switch to flash... by '12 flash storage will be cheaper and much faster reading than any standard HDD. It will likely use USB 3.0 connection unless SATA has reached the same level by that time. The only problem with this is security... the whole damn thing will have to be incrypted. Of course no one has broken the 360's encryption... you can't run burned disk on an unmodded system.
Once again this is a rumour but a lot of work went into this so its worth a look
I dont know much about edeopt but its a kool write up (as phantasy as it sounds) :)
we know now how Sony can commit suicide in the console market, a stupidly powerfull futuristic console, released early, costing us the consumer £1,000 per console and £400 per game

I really think that, next gen, they will release a very simple and not powerful machine, with motion sensing controls, bundled with a sports game. Oh, and the controller will look like a remote controller. No, really, it will look like TWO remote controllers (remember: they doubled the SNES shoulder pads, doubled the N64 analog and rumble, now they will find a way to make a Dual-Mote).
Awesome trailer for the new Ganbare Goemon game, to be released in March, 2009 for... Well, it's a Pachinko machine with a display. Oh, God.
*NEW SUPER MARIO BROS WII*: Now it's gonna happen!!! Thank you so much Nintendo.
