Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Onslaught - First MP FPS for WiiWare

If this turns out to be good and sells really well then that might open up eyes in other developers to release more titles like this. I love to see more Wi-Fi coop in Wii games

i hope it has split screen, coop is cool but i want to play with friends in the room.

I doubt it. They've probably announced every feature in the game in that little press release. If all goes correctly, it should be some good, simple, cheap multiplayer fun.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

Wow those graphics are hilariously bad. This is a new game right?

Is that a joke? This is WiiWare we're talking about...

What difference does that make? Besides the fact that PSN and XBLA games generally look very good, other Wiiware games such as FFCC My Life as a King looks just as good as a retail Wii title.

Not trying to troll because Co-op sounds cool, but this looks about as good as Counterstrike.. a 10 year old game. I mean, seriously.

The size of the download limits things considerably. Textures etc. can't be large files or particularly detailed, they couldn't fit that much content in. I was expecting this to look considerably worse.

well, to be fair the budget is probably very low, and wii fans dont care for graphics right now.

it is capped at 44 megs so i wouldn't expect a whole lot out of graphics from wiiware games.  FF was a really really small game even though it had many things to do.  You never left the kingdom the entire game.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

The had me a 4 player online co-op.

That's pretty good for WiiWare or any Download service for that matter.

I might actually get it.

Should be a nice little treat to bridge the gap between bigger games.

XBL: WiiVault Wii: PM me  PSN: WiiVault

PC: AMD Athlon II Quadcore 635 (OC to 4.0ghz) , ATI Radeon 5770 1GB (x2)

MacBook Pro C2D 2.8ghz, 9600m GT 512 iMac: C2D 2.0, X2600XT 256

Meh. I'm not interested in a FPS on WiiWare. I couldn't help thinking how much better it may be as a full release. As I'm sure most HD console fans think about most announced Wii games...
