That sentence confused me immensely xD.  PvP is Player vs Player, PvE is Player vs Environment (grinding, instances, interacting with NPC's).

If you llike grinders, PvE. I'd definitely suggest Requiem: Bloodymare and/or Runes of Magic.

I liked Guild Wars, and I think it is still pretty popular.

Runes of Magic - http://www.runesofmagic.com/us/index.html

I just started playing and it's simply amazing. It's still in Beta but it offers:

1. Duel Classing system like FFXI, but every class can mix, there is no BAD class mix. Such as Priest/Rogue can work and be used for PvP and PvE. Every class mix has specific bonuses, which makes choosing tough :P.

3. Comprehensive Development Team (a bad ass team) that listens to their Player base. There will be updates every 3 months or so, with new Areas, new Quests, new Gear, new Dungeons etc. It's goes to as much development as WoW.

4. Graphics are similar to WoW but are a little more detailed in my opinion.

5. Can learn all Crafts and Excel.

6. Guild, Personal and Friend Houses, expandable.

7. Huge Quest database over 600 quests that are Storyline driven. Quests aren't just "Kill this, now Kill that". You have search quests and quests that are actually fun.

8. The Grind is nothing like Maplestory or any of the other Free MMOs. It's a friendly grind.

9. Gear, even at low level you see gear that has Set Bonuses from Questing. Dungeon gear is amazing and goes from Blue and can be upgraded to Epic.

10. Dungeons, there are 2 type of Dungeons. First type are Set Dungeons (alas I have to do another compare to WoW) such as WoW. Second type are Dungeons that are always different every time you enter, there are no set rules for the Second type.

11. The Item Mall is fair and isn't rediculous like most free MMOs.

There is more stuff, but you should play it. There will be 2 New Classes and a New Race released soon as well, so don't be discouraged by only 1 Race.

  • 2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.
  • Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.

Oh I thought pvp was controlled areas where you can battle(or horde vs alliance in WOW), and pve was you can attack anyone at anytime. I thought PvE was Player vs everyone.  My bad

Try Perfect World, fun as hell but around level 20 - 30 theres a huuuge grind area for quests. If you can get past that you'll be good.

CURRENTLY PLAYING:  Warframe, Witcher 2

Glad I found this thread, might take a break from WoW when my subscription ends... and it would be nice to play something else for a change (lol). Runes of Magic seems interesting.
