Thanks, I certainly do thing this will be 90+, this thread annoys me though, its not going to stay 97 so why shout about it? its pointless, wait for 10 reviews and if its 95/96+ then that is certainly something to start getting excited over.

You are missing the point, the metacritic score is this high at the moment becuase 2 of the 4 things it has to go on are from official PS magazines, and it will drop

 

 

OPM UK gave it a 9/10, so by your theory...they weren't paid enough?

9/10 = still AAA rank, and you are saying they should pay themselves lol o_O

 I remember when a friend was jumping about because MGS4 had an average of 100... only one review had come in.

OPM US gave MotorStorm: Pacific Rift a 6/10, by far it's lowest score on GameRankings and Metacritic.

I wouldn't exactly say they are biased towards ps3 exclusives.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't we already have a reply to one of this sort of posts? Those magazines were pretty harsh on other ps3 exclusives.

They also gave Uncharted and Resistance 2 8s.  Both were quite hyped, particularly the latter.  Both also have an average score closer to a 9 than an 8 (Uncharted is actually hovering around 89.7 on GameRankings).

Yeah once it hits 10-15 reviews that about where it will be, unless an onslaught of horrible/terrific reviews come in.  it wont change much either way.  I see this game leveling off at around 93

you seem to believe the OPM was made by Sony themselves - that is completely wrong, they are made by publishing companies, that bought the license from Sony to be able to call one of their magazines "OPM"
