Same old Sony PR spiel - hardly qualifies as news anymore.

I reiterate that the lifespan of a console is determined by consumers, not by those who make the console.

Are you going to see someone who will buy Killzone 2 sell his PS3 and buy a Wii for The Conduit? The 360 is the PS3's main competition, it is what is taking hardware and software sales from them, not the Wii.

Sony are not going to start saying "yeah so we lost to Nintendo and MS as well" and piss off shareholders, it is not possible to give up and accept 3rd place when you come from 1st place for 10 years.

I always thought Nintendo fanboys were the most pleasant but damn, this site has showed me that is most definitely not the case. :/

The ps3 has no chance of coming up over the 360 if it doesn't get a price drop but it will eventually. Also, I don't think the ps3 is in direct competition with the wii either, what's so wrong about that thinking to be honest? You'd be hard press to make a convincing argument that the ps3 is competing head-to-head with the wii.

Really, this seems to be another thread where people can bash sony and the ps3. Though I bet the vast majority will change their tune overtime as the ps3 comes down in price.

Nintendo themselves have stated multiple times that they are not competing with MS or Sony.

If thats the case why should MS and Sony consider Nintendo a rival?

It's hard to not be sly when only arguments for your console are "it sells great , has motion control and my grandma can play it too" :D
