Forums - Gaming Discussion - Will there ever be an Eternal Darkness II?

http://blog.wired.com/games/2008/02/ontario-govt-to.html

As many of you already know (as this is hardly recent news) the Canadian Government has bailed Silicon Knights out with the stipulation that their next game be on all or at least the HD platforms. The terminology of a third person survival horror / action game would seem indicative of Eternal Darkness, but there is a problem. Nintendo owns the rights to Eternal Darkness showing that this new game will not be Eternal Darkness II.

Even then the bulk of Eternal Darkness was done by Nintendo's N-Space studio, not Silicon Knights. Will we ever see another Eternal Darkness Game or has this ship sailed with the utter and complete failure of Too Human?

Around the Network

If there is... i dount it's up to Silicon Nights.

Last I heard Nintendo earned the insanity system and i beleive turned down SK in the GC era when it came to making a new one.

Ah you actually just said that.  If Nintendo wants they'll just make another one... i don't think they wan to though.  Game sold poorly.

how much did it sell?

(and the blog article says a grant not a bail out...)

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
