last time a huge game was hyped by PS3 fans.....it became the 2nd highest rated High Definition game ever
ala LittleBigPlanet
& PS3 got its highest rated exclusive game.

It is not that they are looking forward to it so much as the delusional expectations that have been building for the better part of the last 2 years.
Games like Halo3, SSBB, GTA4 and MGS4 managed to get released and drop off the radar, while the KZ3 bs has been fermenting on these boards for the better part of the last 2 years and now, with all the other games come and gone and no real idea when the next 3 saviors are getting released (FF13, GT5, GoW3), it has become the fanboy flag, and it seems to get waved on an hourly basis.

why are you so surprised by this? rememeber the GTA hype, the MGS4, LBP will be huge hype. The Hype for this game hasnt even started yet, wait until IGN gives it a 10. You'll have to stay away from the internet for a while.

I do think it will sell well, but as of right now.. I agree with Kitty, to us it may seem huge but go and ask others who arent huge gamers about this game, and they probly wont have a clue what you are talking about.
Halo, Gears: That shit was everywhere. radio advertisements, slurpies, commercials. Only time will tell what the marketing can do to truly achieve "hype" for Killzone 2.
I really hope Sony just bites the bullet on this one and goes all out for Marketing. It would be such a disservice to not do so.
