Story was awful but game is very good, deserves the trashing though because it if a FLAG SHIP FF GAME, everyone has come to expect more.

I beat it in 07 when it was released, hated it but started a new game recently expecting not to like it (Yeah wayyy to much time on my hands) but for some reason i love it now. Just have low expectations for 12 and you'll love it, thats the trick you see.

It's kind of weird that people are bashing a game's story just because there aren't as many cutscenes as there were in FFX. Doesn't the excellent VA, well written scipt and nicely done facial expressions have anything to do with the quality of the story?
