Forums - Sony Discussion - My 40 GB is officially maxed out

After nearly a year of owning my 40 GB, i maxed it out. I blame PSN video store lol. Theres alot of good tv shows and a few anime episodes, and i recently found a good movie i have been looking for some time now. I would be buying an HDD in the upcoming year, but i would save my money for the most superior capacity and fastest reading speed money can buy, so i would never have to worry about space.

Around the Network

Lol, that kinda sucks. I have a question though:

To download things like movies and anime episodes, do you have to pay? or are some movies free?

Also, are these movies 1080p?

You can just transfer the stuff off there that you wanna keep. Get an external HDD or just transfer it to your PC slowly with a flash drive or something.

You can always delete some of that stuff and redownload it later. Or just upgrade your HDD, whichever you prefer.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

yeah i had to pay, but like 2$ for every content and movie rentals ( cheaper than what my cable is every month ) and there is HD and its only some of the content ( sony wants you to buy new stuff on blu ray). Whatever is HD, like a rental, its a dollar more. Oh and there's also tax, i hate tax. the stuff thats free are trailers on regular psn

Thats wrong, i tried that five months ago, but im only allowed to transfer files for a limited amount of times to my PSP only, i have a 720 external HDD, i bought it because i could use it with my 40 GB, i was dead wrong. It sucks i know, i blame cheap DRM bs, oh also video content that you buy is not covered under the redownloads like psn games, if you delete it, you gotta buy it again.

What i'm gonna do is backup my ps3, install new HDD, and restore the backed up data, since i read the user agreement that i can only restore on the same PS3, it said nothing about the same hard drive. Also if it works, backing up the whole HDD instead of redownloading all your games sounds better to me. just a little heads up.
