Forums - Sony Discussion - Echochrome vs. Crush

Similar but different. Which do you prefer?

I still need to play Crush...but Echochrome is one of the best puzzle games I have ever played.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

none, i find them both boring.

I haven't played crush... But I heard it was sort of similar to paper mario?
It was one of segas actually good games, that didn't quite sell alot.

And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

Yeah it's similar to Paper Mario in that you can switch from 3-d to 2-d. I've only played the demo of Echochrome, but I noticed that, as in Crush, simply moving the camera to change perspective lets you access inaccessible areas.

I haven't played enough Echochrome to make an informed decision on it, but Crush is awesome. It's a very underrated game, and definitely one of the PSP's finest titles. The dialogue and humor are great also, which is not something you would usually say about a puzzle game.
