PC upgrade is definatley the best bet. There is nothing like a high end PC. Then again getting a ps3 is a good choice as well you know. Its really all about what you think you need the most.

 Isn`t that every 2 years? A high end PC 2 years ago is outdated today...and what`s the point upgrading your PC when you can buy a cheap 360 and play all of it`s exclusives AND all the PC games on your big TV at a steady framerate all the time.

I say invest in 360 software (and a big TV),it`s cheaper and more fun.

in for cliche "buy a ps3" advice.  This way you have every system and you can always be happy.  It's also a way to upgrade to blu-ray by accident and enjoy a few random films worth paying the extra cash for.

If you can find a 60gb BC PS3 for the amount of money that you want to spend I would definitely get that considering you said your PS2 has gone silent. Otherwise I'd say the second choice would be to go for the pc upgrade and third choice would be to spend some of that money on some new games + watching the giants game with enough "consumable happy drinks" for the win. Unless there is something you really wanna play on the ps3 I think you can wait a bit for it and focus on the two that you do have.

I'd recommend more 360 and wii games.

The ps3 would be more or less a 360 repeat experience and if you have games on your console that you want to get but haven't gotten, whats the point of getting a new one?

As for the PC, I just have no interest in PC gaming or games so I can't recommend anything PC to anyone.

You seem like an all around gamer.

I would honestly suggest upgrading your PC and finish of all those titles that you been wanting to play.

No sense wasting money on either a PS3 or 360, if you already have a ton of games on PC.

Edit: As for 2009, now that is a different story :P

  • 2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.
  • Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.

i would recommend save your money and buy games later.

Save money?? lol..nooooess.. one must spend spend spend! haha I think I feel Onyx's pain I always have to buy even knowing I may not get around to playing them...its how I grew up...but back then I would actually finish them off quickly because I was in school...now they pile up ;-;

You can put together a great gaming PC for less than $500 and you wouldn't have to upgrade it until the next console generation. You also get free online play, cheaper games, exclusive content and mod support as well as a far greater body of exclusive games than the 360 or any other console could ever offer. The PC is the option that is no more expensive and yet it offers so much more.
