Well treat it as a case study - tell us the date when you end up sending it away for repairs and the date it gets back to you. That way we get to hear if it ends up being good service, otherwise it won't be disimilar to any of the other countless threads where people find it prudent to tell us all how bad a day they've had instead of the 364 good ones.

Well indeed i will. Even though there seem to now exist an official rrod thread, the fact is that mine was created before that so i will continue to update this thread. At least it won't get obviously lost in that other thread.

I see what is happening here people are just making up RROD cases just to troll and annoy 360 owners.

blunty, what is the output DC on the power brick? If it is 175w, then you definitely have a Falcon. I believe they started manufacturing Falcon's in September of 2007.

yea it's 175W

Should be an Official RROD thread imo.

There should be because no one really cares that anyone elses system RROD but people feel compelled to tell everyone.

Blame it on MS cuz everyone has a right to express there complaint on the faults on such a 'great' system.

Please do not say that again.

The reason is that it's a redundant topic with little room for discussion. The purpose of the board is to create discussion, not for members to blog post. Here is every RROD thread...

OP: I am going to tell a quick and boring story that chronicles that I have an RROD, I was about to get into so and so game and now I feel grrrrr! Hopefully it comes back fast.

Replies: Ok.

The problem with the threads is that they traditionally don't involve any sort of dialogue, but are merely journal entries from the OP. This is why an official thread is needed, so the OPs with little value for forum discussion can now become the discussion itself. If you notice, most members that reply in threads like this have nothing of value to say because there really is nothing more to be said about it outside of the OP.

I'm mad that my Xbox 360 has not RRoD'd yet. I had one RRoD 3 days before Christmas last year. I returned to the store and got it replaced under the extended warranty but they only had Halo Special Edition ones to give me in return.

As much as I love Halo, I dislike the green 360, I'd rather have a white 360 again. I don't think this one will ever RRoD, dammit.

Why not always keep it on? If you never turn the thing off maybe it'll eventually RROD. Now this should have been it's own topic. We could all come up with nifty ways to get your puke green 360 to RROD.

Thats not a half bad idea.  Bet we'd see some creative responces.
