There's been Wii's in my city for months now. Always there. Retirement community, second oldest in Canada, so there's not a lot of gamers here. This is probably a very isolated occurrence as supply and demand here is very minimal. 1 of 3 people in town are over the age of 65. However, if these old farts realized how much fun the Wii could be, it could have a huge attach rate in the city, but I doubt it'll be the case. :P

What, specifically, is your increased shipment theory?


 I expect Nintendo to up production this month 75-100k/week more til begin of september. I think 75% of those units are shipped to NA. So either the Wii sold go trough the roof in NA or the Wii begin to be available in NA.
