Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Arcade 360 Failure Rate?

I recently bought an Arcade 360 during Black Friday. Do these models have as low of a failure rate as the Pro and Elite currently do? Is it overall much better than it used to be? How can I tell if I got a newer model? Any help is welcome, thanks.

From my experience of asking customer service reps it tend to be equal to elite/pro

Thanks. That what I like to hear.

If it has internal memory, it's the newest model

Any new 360 has a very low failure rate. Falcon has showed that and since Jasper creates even less heat and uses less power it should only be better.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

Proof :P

You my friend is RROD proof. It won't happen to you!

Reason why because you just picked up a unit that has the Falcon or Jasper motherboard. Both motherboards produce less energy meaning less watts and less heat in the system.

You have a 65nm CPU/ 90nm GPU (Falcon) or 65nm CPU and GPU (Jasper) both are high reliability and you won't have to worry about RROD.

WTF? How the fuc do I prove that? Here just walk into a Best Buy and look at the Customer Service line one guy or girl will have an XBox in their hand. I see it all the time at our store. Sometimes I'll even see two back to back customers with RROD.

The newer models of X360 are becoming more and more reliable as time goes by. An acceptable sub 5% failure rates, could be achieved in the future.
