Forums - PC Discussion - what virus protection do you use?

Alvira antivir, its better than avg for those who want a free antivirus.

I use avg anti virus and Spyware terminator(just tried this after I format my drive a week ago) works wonder so far.

antivirus software is always changing, i work in repairing computers so i have alot of experience in this and id say avg, avast and nod32 are the best 3.

dont touch anything by norton or mcafee. TOTAL GARBAGE!!!

also kapersky is meh

bottom line: Avast or AVG only

AVG

Norton Protection Center

When it comes to the software that is protecting your data and identity, you get what you pay for. AVG and avast are free....so you get free quality protection. At least that is better than Norton and Mcaffe which, although they do moderately well at virus protection, they slow down your computer with all the extra crap they throw in with their suites.

As anti-virus goes, the best three are bitdefender, kaspersy and nod32 in that order.

ESET smart security nothing can pass trough this.

Since my Kaspersky expired, I put Comodo, which does a decent job and is free.

Usually i'm in Ubuntu though, so nothing.
