I have a G5 as well! They are the best corded mouse I've come across and they come with free executive toys (weights) for your desk. I could stack those in different formations allllll day.

I have a Logitech VX Nano... great mouse for a Laptop... just $50 bucks at Best Buy.

It has laser tech, and the battery last almost a year. And the receptor is very tiny...
