chances are high this main statement taht PS3 sells more HW in 2008 than 360 is right. up to date we have these numbers on vgchartz

if you jsut take america and others then ps3 is in the lead atm by roughly 700k, if you substract the others parts outside Europe then difference will probably be a bit higher. if i look at holiday sales realistically then they will probably be quite close worldwide with xbox having a slight edge cause of lower price. so i really doubt that the lead of the ps3 will increase if you just take EU and US at the end of the year i guess PS3 might have sold 300-700k more than xbox in 2008 if you jsu count EU and US. if you see it worldwide it will probably be closer to a million (since its at 1.2 million now) but its hard to say if it stays above 1 million.
