i would love for Sony to make a price cut and outsell the 360 this holiday season but this isn't a perfect world. but the truth is there will be no price cut so they can make some type of profit.

True, those two statements differ in meaning.
no cuts in 2008 is definite, whereas no pricecut at this time leaves the option of one, if planned.
although they could just release a new sku, and bypass the whole problem of conflicting with their previous statments.
