What is the point of this repeated highlighting and posting of the same comments?

Probalby has something to do with the fact that you among others completely ignore them and repeat the same argument.

What is there to comment on about that? You're saying there is no 3rd party support yet because they need more time. We got it, some people said E3 was when this support would come and it still hasn't. If you remember I mentioned TGS would probably have some Japanese support.

Still theoretical support isn't the same as actual support. Until the Wii gets more good 3rd party games saying that it will is moot.

Well, here is how I view this whole conversation. It seems to have split off into 2 paths:

-Where is the 3rd party support?

Well actually the amount of 3rd party games anounced for the WIi in the last 3 months is almost double that as the amount of PS3, 360, and PC games combined. So obviously support is there.

-Where are the good 3rd party games?

Well, considering good is a matter of opinion, no one can really say. If you mean more big money core game projects like No More Heroes, NiGHTS, Zack and Wiki, etc. then I would say you will not see a whole lot of those until 2008, as development (even on the easy to develop for Wii) takes a long time. Considering that companies anounced a shift in support 2 months ago, I don't know why anyone would expect these big money titles any sooner than 2008.

Does that answer your questions ckmlb?

If we just use the present as an example, then the Wii will sell well for the rest of the cycle, while the PS3 wont sell as well.

A lot of people accept this as fact no, what is your point?

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

For someone who's so mature Bodhesatva seems to keep switching between liking traditional games and the new Wii type games a lot.

Whenever it's time to criticize the PS3 and 360 games he points out that they are violent teen games but for the Wii those games are perfectly fine and should be bought.

Name one violent Wii game I plan to buy, please. Thanks!

Why did you ask people to buy RE: UC in the RE: UC thread?

Wow. I've now replied to this four times, including the thread where we originally discussed this topic.

Ck: You are going to buy RE:UC you hypocrite!

Me: No, that was a joke. Clearly so, as I literally ordered every person to buy it. I have neither played nor owned a Resident Evil game since the Playstation 1.

Ck: So you're going to buy it. Hypocrite!

Me: No, it was a joke.

Ck: So you're buying it.

Me: Please stop, that's a lie.

Ck: So you aren't not saying that you're not buying it?

If this is the case then why are most of the big 3rd party games being announced brand new are going to PS3 and 360? Unless you are saying all these games were already in development... I don't think that's the case with at least a big chunk of them.

Why is Pro Evolution Soccer 08, a very popular game being announced across all platforms, including hand held but not on the Wii for example?

You forgott to bold it...I tried to point out this to him before I don't think he saw it.

Certainy the ordering part was a joke but telling people to buy the game, how is that a joke? I wonder if you would have ever come up with this explanataion had I not asked you as to why you are interested in this game.

Another question, if you are so against violent games supposedly, why do you play them on the PC? Or are violent gaems on the PC somehow more 'mature' than console games of the same genre?

I think we can all agree that the big DQ game this and the main series are on DS now not on Wii. Swords will not have close to the same impact as DQ IX.

I completely agree that it won't have close to the impact, but that doesn't stop it from being a big or major game.

The main dragon quest line is unquestionably the most important franchise -- 1st or 3rd party -- in Japan. Saying "it won't sell as well as a main DQ game" is like saying "That book is awful, it won't sell as well as Harry Potter."

If you need proof, look at the sales records. In Japan, the DQ game on PS2 was the best selling game on the platform. The DQ games on the PS1 were the best and second best selling games on the platform. In fact, DQ games have only ever been outsold by three games in history on their respective systems: Super Mario Bros, SMB3, and Super Mario Kart. That's it in Japan. Ever.

He did state it in the same thread you know,it isn't like he is stating it now. Have you never heard of sarcasm or irony?

Never mind. The 2 previous times I have debated with you, you have ended up saying "What is your point?" Or something along those lines.

If you don't understand it by now, I will not continue to argue. That is what I am saying you should do as well. Instead of continuing to post the same stuff, just state that you are repeating the same things over and over and, if people do not understand, then you can not convince them.

That may be harder for you, though, since it IS 8 vs 1.

You seem like the PC snobs that I hear a lot complaining about how real games can't be played on consoles and how a console FPS is by default of low level because of the controls.

You use the Wii as your console to play simplistic games that are fun and not deep because you think that is what console games should be.

That's your opinion it's none of my business if it is but you should just come out and say it instead of going through a long ass debate trying to convince me that Brain Age is art and that other games are shallow experiences because you are 'using your brain' which is a pretty lame argument since you do that for everything. No matter how much you try to convince me how shallow most console games are and I agree with you that they need to be deeper, saying that they are shallower than Brain Age and Jenga or Carnival Games is an unbelievable stretch.
