Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Castlevania Judgment new trailer

Even if I had said "in my opinion", I would have still explained it. I like it whn people do that, so I try to do it myself as much as possible. An opinion with backing makes for better discussions, in my experience, like the one we're having now.

You're right, the fact that the art style change coincides with the gameplay change is fairly fitting. I have trouble imagining what it would look like as a fighter with the art style from, say, Symphony of the Night or Lament of Innocence.

For the last 15 years i've played fighting games the most. 2D ones, 3D ones...there are very few fighters i can't hold my own in and quite a few where i can play extremely well.

While i'm not thrilled that castlevania is being made in to a cartoony fighter game that is a parody of itself...mostly since its actually a bloody horror game that used to be the one of the best franchises around...that has nothing to do with me not liking the trailer above.

My problemis that it just looks like ass...as a fighter. the graphics have some colorful effects, but they are quite terrible even by Wii standards. The gameplay doesn't look balanced at all. It almost seems like they are going after the mashy-mashy...smash brothers crowd.

Yes, this is not a traditional fighter, is more simplistic and accesible like Smash. I read it was something similar to Power Stone because of the free movement and from Naruto of GameCube and Wii. I played Naruto and I like it, is a very fast action fighter with a lot of combinations, but very easy to execute at the same time (but hard to master).

We'll have to wait and see how deep the gameplay will be.
