Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Super Smash Bros. Brawl December 5?

Lets see... I think this is how Nintendo viewed it:

August- Metroid Prime 3
September- Halo 3
October- Zelda Phantom Hourglass
November- Super Mario Galaxy
December- Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Pretty varied.

Yep, makes sense to me.

I think Metroid is the most hardcore of the three titles but that's just my opinion.

You are anti-wii. You will stop posting about the wii right?

No need to start an arguement. He just feels metroids more hardcore, and i agree with him. He can state his opinion whether he's "anti-wii" or not.

But he said, if someone accuses him of being anti-wii, then he'll stop posting about the wii.

I'm pretty sold/glad if it makes it to these shores before my b-day in march :(

Nothing's cheaper than something free.

F1 vs FOTA, when too much power is in couple peoples hands.

Without getting into definitions, maybe I mean "hardcore" & "popular". I think SSBB is a much stronger title (more popular) than Metroid. Metroid is most definitely a hardcore game - but I think SSBB has a more "hardcore" fanbase - # people that will rush to buy it.

SSBB has online, casual play, lots of characters.

(anyway, I'm probably blabbering... dead tired, bed time I would think... first day of skiing for about 10yrs..).

Stop instigating drama, he's not doing anything wrong.

Stop criticizing it: it's sensitive but has a wonderful personality once you get to know it.

And really springy hair.

To get back to the initial question, I don't see any thing wrong with the date.

It's just in time for Christmas, with plenty of space between when Santa actually arrives. So parents and gamers alike will have time to at least get a copy reserved and pick it up before the big day.

If Melee is any indicator, the release date won't matter too much in the long term aspect of things.

The big holiday shopping spree starts with Thanksgiving weekend.

If I had to lay odds, I'd say Mario Galaxy will be sold out everywhere by the time December comes. SSBB will be there to fill in the gap.

More importantly, since these things are going on Christmas lists, so long as it is out prior to Dec 24th, it will sell well.

Hmmm it's not too late in the year... compared to Europe all major titles in the US get a decent release date! Praise yourself lucky ;)

But I'm glad the the trend is to release the games in a shorter time span in different regions these days... the wait for Zelda OOT before was unbearable hehe. OOT just missed an X-mas release here and pushed back to an Easter release.

Hmmm thanks for correcting me! Where did you find those release dates. I can't seem to find it anywhere where it explicitly says Pal-release.

Perhaps I had to wait for it so long that it seemed longer hehe. I'm pretty sure I bought a Zelda game around Easter once though...
