Woolworths reduces Wii by £20, now just £159.99

In a bid to boost its presence in the gamine space, UK retailer Woolworths has knocked £20 off the Wii and it is now priced at just £159.99 which is the first time it has gone below its £179.99 price tag on the high street.

I read somewhere that Wii prices had dropped for retailers in the past.  I guess that margin is about to erode...

Around the Network

That's not an official Nintendo pricedrop though. I see Wii discounts all the time here in The Netherlands, Wii's for sale for €220 instad €250 for example.

That's still 320 dollars, and as Nintendo probably isn't selling them the Wii for 70 dollars more than in the US, they're still making decent money on it.
