You're article isn't working, Ck, but I've seen this. My response is: thank god, I hope we see more of this for the PS3 and for other systems to come. I hope they're widely adopted, and in the future can come packaged with the system or with key titles built around competitive play, such as FPS. 

Anything that makes controlling a game easier and more fun is always a plus.

what a pointless thing. If i want a mouse I will use my PC lol. Sony should of just brought out a HTPC that plays games instead of forcing people to buy all these extra periphrals. Yes i know its a 3rd party periphral. 

What is wrong with using a ordinary USB mouse?

Simple, not a whole lot of games support USB mouse and keyboard for gameplay. If all the FPS games supported it, I'd grab a PS/2-USB adapter for my keyboard in a heartbeat. I don't know about all the upcoming FPS games, but I'm pretty sure the next Unreal Tournament will support mouse and keyboard for it's PS3 version. 

Also, how is Sony forcing you to buy that? That's not even a Sony product. 

 What about the shooters that won't come out on PC?

I know that ckmlb thats why i said why not allow for a usb mouse to be used.

I thought that kind of thing is up to sony to add support to firmware. So developers can use it.

My point is why buy something that already exists and I got at home.

Kind of skipped by my post there when I mentioned that the next UT game ought to have mouse and keyboard support. However, that was announced a very long time ago and I have no idea where that'll be. There is still mouse and keyboard support for the XMB when it comes to labeling media files (like music), sending messages to friends, and internet browsing.

Still, if I can get my shooters on my PC without them running too badly, I'd rather do that instead.

Ohh.... look at that!! Its awesome!!! The analog stick is way better than WASD imo. And mouse look is better than the analog stick. This is the best combi I think..... And now.... I am waiting for the Wii Fanboys to come and say, "Hey!! That is a copy of the Wii Nunchuk!" Hahahahahaaaa.............
