i always put it on the side. One: because my family is clumsy and two: because it is just natural for a disk inside the console to be flat

Such insightful knowledge, thankyou for blessing us all......Really though, if your gonna make a thread like this atleast have something useful to say. Im sure there are quite a few concerned 360 owners that actually would like some pointers on this topic, instead of some half-ass attempt such as yours.

He means, have it horizontal and not vertical, correct? The "not up and down" part confused me a bit.

How long did it take you to think up this gem of knowledge.....

there's no diversity because we're burning in the melting pot

hmm maybe i should buy a 360........

To prevent a RROD is not putting the xbox in a small space and by other boxes..

it overheats because most of you guys puts your system in a small space and it over heats faster.

TC, you suck at making threads.

But here's some real advice:
1. have the console in the vertical position, not horizontal.
2. Using it as a dvd player makes it overheat even more, just like the ps2.
3. Buy a good accessory to keep it cool.
4. Don't leave it on when you aren't playing it, unless you are downloading something.
5. Keep the system on a raised surface (Don't just leave it on a carpet!) like a desk.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.
