yup, when they decieds to put the ps2 to rest then we can officialy start with the next gen as this gen and this gen as the past gen. and the next next gen as the next gen.

As DKII said, it sounds exciting. Most people view the "Next-Gen" as fresh and exciting, and it motivates them to buy more games to support their favorite console. If people begin to recognize that the status-quo has been set and that the consoles are now settled in, people won't be as motivated to buy new games for artificial reasons.

Because everybody's a lame dooshbag gobbling up marketing buzzwords and spitting them back out constantly.
