Jandre002 said: See heres the thing. Say a brand new VR device gets released and everyone loves it. It sells out immediately and can't stay on shelves anywhere. Say that device is made by Sega and and they say its a gaming device. Does that mean that everyone else is now 2nd or third? Does that make that Sega device the ULTIMATE console for the generation? Its not the mainstream console if not one gives a crap. Their biggest games are mediocre and played out. No big games are even in the lineup that matter, and even if they do "GO BIG" the biggest thing they can shoot for is possibly on the level of the worst PS3/360 games in terms of graphics and physics. How long can the Wii-mote support the hype with shovelware bringing it down? Probably for awhile, but how does that benefit Wii fanboys or slow down the inevitable progress of the other consoles with price cuts and bigger games to come? |
In your hypothetical scenario, yes, Sega would have the ultimate console of the generation. I'd personally love to see something that ventures in Virtual Reality - just think of how many new and creative ideas that would open up! If the hypothetical product is "selling out immediately" and "can't stay on shelves", then by definition it is the mainstream console. That's... literally what makes something mainstream, as opposed to niche. Everyone buying it and experiencing it together.
The rest of your post makes no sense whatsoever. Maybe you can figure it out during your ban period for blatant flamebait/trolling.
