Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Official Nintendo E3 2019 Thread!

I said the February direct was probably my favorite ever.

Welp, this is by far now.

This was amazing. Consistently amazing.

How so it's happens a lot in the industry Star Fox Adventures wasn't a SF game to begin with for example, Dream went on to become Banjo and so on.

Which is why Star Fox Adventures is nothing like other Star Fox games. It would be weird if Retro have been developing a game for 4 years and it can easily be adapted to be a solid Metroid Prime, and that they'd be willing to completely change their game which by this point should have been almost ready. I wouldn't have high hopes for MP4 if they were just going to convert another title that wasn't metroid to begin with.

The game they've supposedly been developing was always rumoured to be a sci-fi type game it wouldn't be uncommon for them to make a game with similar elements to Prime after all Prime itself is the spiritual successor to Turok and MP4 was done by another team who could have been taking things in a new direction for all we know and what the other team has done has now been scrapped. I can see them converting what they had if they always intended to retain that Prime type of experience in their game.

It's likely that became MP4 as a demo was submitted to Nintendo which convinced them to hand MP4 to Retro they would need to redo assets and such in order for it to become an actual Metroid title.

So it took them 5 years to make a demo?Thats what you are saying?

No I said they submitted a demo.

Watching Treehouse and them playing Animal Crossing makes the delay hurt even more.

I know!!!! But for me Fire Emblem and Pokemon will keep me warm until then. Sooo I am sort of glad there is that 3-4 months between them.

Pocky Lover Boy!

Audrey Drake is playing Zelda. Now I'm happy again.

Oh, and I didn't see this mentioned much or maybe I missed it in this thread, but that latest Fire Emblem trailer finally got me truly hyped. I knew they were no doubt playing with the story cards close to the vest, but I wanted to see more of what was going on, what the stakes were. That latest trailer did that for me.

Oh, and Daemon X Machina got a story trailer, sort of. And finally a trailer that shows off the scope of the game. Which is nice.

Also, some unexpected ports. Alien Isolation was completely unexpected. Witcher 3 proved doubters - me included - wrong. Overall, a LOT was shown.

Such a good Direct, I cannot WAIT for Sept 20th!! Whew, I need a cigarette and I dont even smoke.

I see no talk at all of the dark crystal game.

That has me intrigued. Hope it is deep, as I love me some strategy games like Fire Emblem and tactics games.

No I said they submitted a demo.

Ok, so what did they do all those years?Just this demo and Tropical Freeze port?If so, they are incopetent.

If there was a game there and was cancelled, then its what I said.

So where do you stand, because you are confusing me.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I'm feeling the opposite towards Three Houses. Couldn't really follow what was happening in that trailer, too distracted by how the game still has had no in-depth look at gameplay and it releases next month. I'm guessing it'll get it's own direct in July, but man they're dropping the ball on marketing this game I think.
