New Samurai Shodown launches in Q2 2019

The Tokyo Game Show 2018-announced Samurai Shodown will launch in Q2 2019 (between April and June), SNK announced during an investor relations press conference today.

A slide shown during the event has raised questions as to whether Samurai Shodown will be released on other platforms in addition to PlayStation 4, but said slide appears to indicate the representation of SNK’s key series across platforms—not the platforms of the new Samurai Shodown specifically. For example, The King of Fighters XIV is pictured for the King of Fighters series, but while The King of Fighters XIV is available on PlayStation 4 and PC, it is not available on Switch and Xbox One, which are also listed. However, the series itself is available across all listed platforms

Glad the series got revived, hopefully it will get a KoF type of presence in the coming years.

I'm not a huge fan of the Street Fighter like graphics, but I hope it ends up being a good game... and that it launches on PC too so I can have a chance to play it .

It likely will considering SNK still releases PC games.
