Ars Technica is a great website for informed gamers, most of their articles are well done and educative, I also believe that applies to those who visit the site

So imagine how surprised I was when I read this article and the comments below

Here's a few parts

From the actual article

Now I left out all the other comments stating how they don't think the DLC will be a big thing. My main issue is none of them said or are thinking "Episodic Content", most are probably picturing "horse armor" DLC's and not the Episodic content "ala Half Life 2"

Now if the readers of Ars Technica don't even know this, then how the hell is MS expecting  Joe and Joe Jr. to know?

MS wasted 50 mill on dlc.

only the hardcore gamers care or even know about dlc

no doubt sony will be getting its own dlc. rockstar is more sony friendly, based on history.

home support with gta iv will rape ms's dlc.

well they didn't really "waste" it seeing as how its a loan, but then again, the implication that it's a loan makes me think it really won't be all that great, if they essentially got it for free.

wait, 50 million? Are they stupid?  They could be using that money to advertise the xbox360 that is getting pummeled right now.

yeah, i was thinking the same thing. if this DLC is suppose to be the deciding factor why the hell are we two weeks away from the release and we still don't have a single specific on what this content is let along any advertisement for it. I'm really wondering what they're thinking.

I think the number of people out there that think GTAIV is still PS3 exclusive and the number of people out there that know exclusive DLC is coming to the 360 and actually care about it are about equal. The sales should get washed.

PS3 version will win in Europe and Asia
360 will win in America

360 overall outsells the PS3 version 57:43

 It is not a loan, the way it works is MS gave them 50 mil for the DLC.  Now id the DLC makes more than 50 mil than MS made a profit, but if the DLC doesn't make 50 mil well MS loses the difference.
