Good point. Why wasn't this in the Direct? It could have taken less than a minute to announce, and would've made people quite happy. Maybe to try to not overstep on Fortnite's momentum?

They announced this after the grand final of the Splatoon Tournament. They also revealed 2 new weapons and a new map. And said to continue support until end of the year.

The way they revealed that the dlc is coming tommorow + the audience reaction was amazing! Try to watch it when it gets uploaded
