Sony won't win this so called next gen war if they abandon a whole region. Sony is doing just fine. I'm not so sure if I can say the Wii is the PS2 this time around. Yes, the Wii is selling either on par with the PS2 or better, but it will not reach the success the PS2 had nor do I think the Wii will last longer than 7 years. The Wii most certainly has the potential to pass the PS2 but that's up to Nintendo and us to decide.
