I don't know how VGChartz still has Switch just under 6.8 million units sold by September 23rd when we know that it had sold 7.6 by the end of September according to Nintendo. Even if that number is shipped as opposed to sold. I have a hard time believing that the difference is that big.

So that would put them at over 600K Switches just sitting in stores unsold despite being constantly sold out.

I thought this thread said we would have hardware sales November 9th, am I missing something here?

600K WW is nothing in stores, and it hasn't been sold out in europe, and US for 3 months now.

On stores, or on traffic to the stores. I think around 1 mil difference between official shipments and sell-through is pretty reasonable (and since we know Switch sells out pretty quickly, below 1 million makes sense).

They were released to NPD customers (I think that's what they're called) on Nov 9th. So if Nintendo, Sony, MS or anyone in the media wants, and is allowed to share data, they will. But that's not very common these days. The public data is released the 3rd Thursday of the month.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Or vgchartz is overtracking the Switch.
